In loving memory of Catriona my big Sis. Catriona was my big Sister who cared for me when I was small and my Mother was ill and she was a major part in my life. She took me to school for my first day and as we entered the school I saw children crying, so I started crying and as the Headmistress Miss Tomlinson took my left hand to take me in to school, Catriona took my right hand to take me home, a tug of war ensued that unfortunately the Headmistress won and condemned me to 12 years of schooling, I would have much rather gone home with Catriona. Growing up with my Sis was never dull, she was strong willed and single minded. She introduced me to what became my career as a learning disability nurse at Langdon Hospital but after the morning of my third day I was ready to pack in, luckily for me Catriona was working on the next ward, she took me to lunch and persuaded me to give it a week, without her I would have left there and then, I finally left that career thirty years later! Catriona was very special and touched the lives of many people; she was always thinking of others never herself. She made me laugh and we laughed together, there will be no more laughter between us now, she has left a big hole in my life that will never be filled.
